The Segway system is designed to mirror the process of human walking, if the rider standing on an initially balanced Segway leans forward, therefore offsetting the balance, it moves forward to regain balance just as in walking a leg moves forward to retain balance. The rider lean forward to go forward, lean back to go backward, and turn by using a "Lean Steer" handlebar, leaning it left or right. Segway is driven by electric motors at up to 12.5 miles per hour.

With the Segway technology, this eRinGo car is using the middle wheel to move forward while the two side wheels are for assisting purposes only.

eRinGo is environmental friendly car, and some how is an effective way to support the environment by cutting down the dependency on gasoline oil and minimizing the carbon dioxide emission.

However, there are still many ways to protect our earth, support our earth by diy your own hot water is one of the method you could do to save the environment.

Brand New Energy Panels - made from Human Hair

Is it a weird that human hair could be used as energy panels to drive your home appliances?

Think about your hair could have the power of generating electricity?!

An 18 years old Nepalese Milan Karki is the inventor of this energy panel by human hair which could produce 9 V (18 W) of energy.

He took the theory that hair is easy to use as a conductor in conventional solar panels where silicon is employed. With human hair to replace silicon which is a relatively pricy component of Solar Panels, the production cost and the selling of solar panels could be greatly eliminated.

Using human hair as a conductor and then generate 8.98v (18w).

The inventor was originally inspired after reading a book by physicist Stephen Hawking, which discussed ways of creating static energy from hair.

In fact, the Melanin which is a pigment that gives hair its colour is light sensitive and also acts as a type of conductor. Since Melanin is one of the factors in conversion of energy, half a kilo of hair can be bought for only 16p in Nepal and lasts a few months, whereas a pack of batteries would cost 50p and last a few nights.

Now, with human hair, or any kind of hair that you could think of… energy panels can be produced at a low cost.

However, this invention has to go through deeper and further experiences about its durability and feasibility before having the final say.

Normally, a solar panel is very durable and must withstand heat, cold, rain and hail for many years. There are manufacturers offering warranties that guarantee electrical production for 10 years at 90% of rated power output and 25 years at 80%.

Usually, we could install the solar panels on the roof somewhere outside with sunny sun, if the human hair energy panel need frequent changes of human hair conductor, it will be very inconvenient.

This news is proving that another usage of human hair, as of how often should we replace the human hair and the practical problems, we need to solve out...

This type of energy panel using human hair could provide the world with cheap and green electricity. We should support green living as there are numerous advantages of using Solar Energy.

Remember, save your money and save our earth, it depends on you.

US supports Solar Energy

Solar Energy has been the hot topic in US. Even though alternative energy is gaining more and more governmental supports, is that enough?

No, surely not. There are still many rooms for improvements.

However, one piece of breaking news is that electricity produced in the Northwest says wind turbines in Eastern Oregon and Eastern Washington hit a peak of more than 2,000 megawatts for an hour on Aug. 5, and that was enough electricity to power Seattle and Portland for that hour, and double the peak recorded in January 2008.

Moreover, the wind power is ramping up quickly and it is expected to reach 6,000 megawatts of wind power in the next five years.

One New Jersey lawmaker is studying to take stronger steps to promote clean energy and combat climate change, so as to find ways to infuse green building technology into projects throughout the state.

Then, HOW ABOUT US? Please DIY Solar Heater, you can easily do it and save the environment.

China makes effort in Clean Electricity

China is going to build her first 10 million-kw wind power station in the far northwestern city of Jiuquan in Gansu Province. It is a good news for the environmental protection.

Do you know the world top 3 clean electricity countries?
They are United States, Germany and Spain.
And the Fourth Solar Energy Fighter prize goes to China since she has installed wind power capacity topped 12.17 million kw at the end of 2008.

However, China's wind power industry was much dampened by distribution imbalances between resources and markets. There are difficulties in connecting wind power to power grids and construction policies that produced stations of only small generation capacity.

To solve the problems, the government decided to build the 10 million-kw-level wind power station, to maximize wind power efficiency through large-scale construction and transmission.

The information from the National Development and Reform Commission and head of the National Energy Administration. With an investment of 17.57 billion U.S. dollars, the wind mill station was designed to have an installed capacity of 5.16 million kw by the end of 2010 and 12.71 million kw by the end of 2015. It will be China's largest wind power facility upon completion.

We hope people are getting more and more concerned about solar energy and solar power.

Source: Xinhua

Solar Energy prevails in India

India is going to build a super Solar Plant to generate 20GW from sunlight by 2020.

Solar Heater DIY takes this as a piece of superb good news from the aspect of renewable energy since India is the second crowded nation besides China.
